If You're in a Hard Season

Some seasons don't have a name yet.
Grief that won't move. A faith gone quiet. A situation where the usual answers have stopped working.

If you've found your way here, you don't have to explain it.

My purpose is to support. I've spent my career in the rooms where people carry what can't be fixed. Hospitals. Hospice. The places where the ordinary vocabulary of hope runs out. My work is not to resolve what you're holding. It is to be present with you while you hold it.

You don't have to share my faith. As a chaplain, I've served people of every faith tradition; and people express their spirituality otherwise. I know who I am. That's exactly why I can be fully present with you, wherever you are.

I won't offer you a formula. I won't tell you what it means or how long it will last. What I can offer is presence; the kind of companionship that doesn't flinch, doesn't rush.

Grace is not something you find your way to. It finds you where you are.
